A Day in the Life of a Lawn Care Technician
Let’s start by painting a picture of what a lawn care technician job is like each day.
At Turf Pride, our technicians start their days by looking over their routes to see if there are any special applications scheduled for their shift.
After that, they use a checklist to make sure they load all of the necessary tools, products, and equipment they need. Then they lead the shop to start their lawn applications at various homes along a route.
Each technician has a tablet that is loaded with all of their work orders for the day. GPS navigation guides them to each location.
When a technician arrives at a home, they begin the necessary applications after putting flags in the yard to show they were there. Applications can include liquid or granular forms of fertilizers, weed control, and any other services where applicable.
While on each property, the lawn care job includes looking at the lawn and paying close attention for signs of damage caused by any potential insects or diseases, as well environmental stresses. Providing excellent customer service and sharing written notes with the customer or for the company’s client record is also important.
